Re 143-145 St Andrews Road South FY8 1YB and 133-143 of the same road.

Respective title nos: LA700360 and LA854397.

There appear to be conflicting owners of the leasehold of no. 143.

143-145 belongs to a charity.  145 is the earlier building.  It was built in the 1880's.  143 is the end of a row of houses that were built in 1919.

LA700360 was transferred from Christian Alliance Trust Corporation Ltd to YMCA Trust on 21 July 2023.

It would get too confusing to go into the underlying issue here.

The main thing for now is that the leasehold of 143 seems to have two different owners.

Can this possibly be correct?

Helen - if you simply look at the property descriptions on each title you won;t always get the full picture. Those descriptions must be read in conjunction with the title plans and the actual registered details as well to understand what is registered and under which title/tenure.
For example a property may be described as 143-145 based on what was known at the time of the original registration.
And of course the title plans, mapped in the 90's show the house numbering present at the time
But that has then changed as a result of the leasing of different parts of the property
So in this case you have leasehold title LA700360 which describes itself as 143-145 but appears to be more 145 than 143 and with a number of sub leases as well
LA854397 is another leasehold title running from the end of the road up to and including 143. It too has separate sub leases and one of which relates to 143 alone, namelyLA454466
That third leasehold tile also then has sub leases affecting and linked to the floor levels involved
So the registered information is all correct and it's all a case of piecing the registration jigsaw together depending on what it is you are trying to establish. Appreciate the underlying issue is a complex one but it seems the registered titles and leases/sub leases are also complex as well
