I am trying to conduct a Local Land Charges search in a new development area and Ordnance Survey (geospatial data) details are not available. How can I conduct a search?

Ordnance Survey detail may be unavailable for the extent you wish to conduct your search against, as this property lies within a new development area.

Due to this, we advise you to draw an extent of the land to be searched against on the map, that will cover the property and surrounding area. You can identify the land in respect of which the search is to be made by using a title number if the land is registered. Alternatively, you can use a nearby postcode to get to the relevant area of the map, but you must remember to update the address/location description accordingly when doing so.

Rule 10 of the Local Land Charges Rules 2018 requires the applicant to identify the land in respect of which the search is to be made.

Please note, once a search has been completed and a result issued, it will not be possible to change the search area.

Please use our contact form to provide details if you require further assistance.
