My home is one of five built in 2019/2020. They were all sold in 2020/2021 during the pandemic. If one looks at the OS Map today it shows all five properties with about half the land to their rear amalgamated into a single contiguous block. However, if one looks at each individual title it shows the boundaries running the full extent.

Given that each individual title deed is correct why am I bothered. Well (a) because I'd expect the LR and OS to show the same 'truth' and (b) because we've had three separate complaints to the local council about the five households 'stealing' land because what they see on the OS map suggests we are overstepping our boundaries. Each time the complaint is dismissed but it causes ill feeling.

How do we get the OS Map and the Land Registry titles aligned? I'm assuming the problem arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic impact on working.

Darrell - if there's an issue with the OS detail then you'd need to contact them to see if they will re-survey the area and alter their plan. To do that I suspect there would need to be a physical feature in place to enable them to do that and to 'separate' the properties from the extra land
The title plans won't be amended as they show the registered extents as per the transferred parts for example
OS maps don't confirm ownership but confirm the physical features on the ground at the time OS surveyed the area. Land Registry title plans show the registered extents/general boundaries. They are both 'truths' but the OS plan doesn't confirm ownership as you already appreciate but others do not
