Hi, I'm planning to apply on Form AP1 to amalgamate two titles for two neighbouring properties which are in common ownership and occupation of myself and my wife, and asking at the same time for entries in the Property and Proprietorship Registers of the two titles (or the resulting combined title) to be removed as they are extinguished under unity of occupation and ownership - the two titles were mutually serviant and dominant under a conveyance which created one of the titles out of the other, but they are now reunited and none of the easements, restrictions, covenants, etc, survive.  We are applying without advice from a conveyancer - do we need to provide ID (I think from previous answers not), and do we need to complete Form CN1 with regard to the extinguished register entries (there are no entries in the Charges register)?  Many thanks.

Apologies, my mistake - I see that there is also an entry in the Charges Register of at least one of the titles noting the existence of the Conveyance mentioned above and that the Original is filed.  If it would assist to answer these queries, the Register numbers are GR231840 and GR152203.  Many thanks.

Hi Chris - identity verification is not required if the application is to only to request amalgamation
Form CN1 is not required but you can, if you wish, highlight the extinguishment you are suggesting in a covering letter

Adam, I think that I read somewhere else on here that the fee I need to send with a written letter of application for amalgamation of titles is currently £40, but I can't find that confirmed anywhere.  Would that be correct for my circumstances as mentioned above; would I need to pay an additional £40 to have the extinguishment dealt with?
