Hi Lewis - submitted on 10th as you state and expedited on 15th. There are however a few prior applications against the same title which will need to be considered/hastened before the application you mention can be processed. That will happen but at this stage impossible to be definitive re any timescale
I will check with colleagues to see if they can offer any insight and will post again once known
K327QVT

Hi Lewis - not as yet. The casework team will need to consider each of the prior applications against the same title to advise as to what can/can't happen next. That will take time
K327QVT

Hi Lewis - the prior application to register a new lease is held up as we need more from it's lodging conveyancer.
The later applications are being assessed to see if there is a way through to start the processing of the application you have referred to specifically
There are two things to comment on here. The first is that the expedited application is to cancel the restriction. As such, if it is in order, it is very likely we will need to serve notice on the named restrictioners to seek their consent to it's cancellation. They are given time to do that and that time will run beyond 5th May
The second is to recommend discussing the scenario with your solicitor with regards the need to wait for the restriction to be cancelled before your transaction completes. I suspect that discussion/consideration has already happened but perhaps worth revisiting to see if a different option exists.
At present the pending and prior applications are a barrier to speedy progress of the matter but I will update here once I have more from the casework team considering whether anything can be done to assist within the deadline you refer to
K327QVT

Thank you Adam,

just enquiring as to how the progress of this is going. Has there been any positive movement to reach the 5th of May deadline?
Lewis

Lewis - there has been positive movement on the one hand as the application you are chasing has been escalated and referred to one of our lawyers to consider next steps. Those next steps include the crucial element of whether a) the application is in order and b) if wider checks are needed
If the answer to a) is No and//or b) is a Yes then the timescale will stretch beyond 5th May.
Until the lawyer confirms what's needed we can't offer a concrete update
K327QVT
