I would like to find an older Title Plan

I am writing to query what I believe to be an error in the boundary delineation shown on the title plan registered following a recent purchase of a property. Having reviewed the plan, I consider the boundary as drawn to be incorrect and I would like to examine earlier versions of the title documents in order to compare the historical boundary position. I understand that the property was last sold in 1968, which predates the introduction of compulsory first registration for this area, and I therefore appreciate that earlier title documentation may exist only in paper or archive format rather than on the digital register. Could you please advise how i apply for a copy of any pre-registration deeds and associated plans held by HM Land Registry? If the relevant documents are not held by your office, I would be grateful for guidance as to where they may be located. I look forward to your assistance and am happy to provide the title number, property address, or any other information required to progress this enquiry.
