Can you amend deeds after a transaction?
Can you amend deeds after a transaction?

In the last 18 months or so I bought a property in Yorkshire where the seller forgot to add a restrictive covenant to the property. I have no issue with the covenant and understand the requirement to preserve the character of the surrounding estate. My house is the only one on the estate not to have this restrictive covenant. Is it possible that the seller and I can apply to jointly amend the deeds to include this missed out restrictive covenant?
Thanks in advance.

G Williamson - if you 'missed' the covenants then the way forward would be to enter into a new legal deed to impose them as appropriate. A Deed of rectification would probably be what's needed but please do seek legal advice/assistance
You can't for example redo the Transfer and include new terms as it's now been registered
