Hello i have just received a confirmation that my application is received and will be completed by January 7th. I am going through a seperation and need this in place before i start legal proceedings as he could just put the house in someone elses name. Am i able to fast track this or does it mean that as its being processed he wouldnt be able to transfer it on anyway?

Appreciate your Help

Thanks

Victoria

Hello Victoria - your rights are protected from the date of receipt by us. Any application to transfer the ownership would be subject to your application's priority so for example a buyer/mortgage lender would almost certainly no proceed whilst your application was pending and/or your rights protected on the register
There is no need to fast-track it as a result and the 7th January is an 'estimated' completion date only

Hi Adam

ok this is amazing thank you, one last question. when will the letter get sent to the owner ie my husband? is it when the application is completed or will one go out when its processing?

Hi Victoria - the notification will go out the day the application is completed and the register updated. Any prospective buyer or lender will be made aware of the application/protected rights when they complete an official search/check of the registered Including anything pending) details

Hello, I have sent a Home Rights Application form and was wondering if it was received and acknowledged, please?

Kedisha - it's been received and you should get an acknowledgement in the post. Unsure how long the post is taking to deliver but the key fact is that we have your form
