Hi

We are in the process of selling our family home. We are being held up by 4 entries on the land registry placed there by Natwest Bank. There were 2 mortgages taken out in 1978 and 1994 both of which were paid off in 2000. Natwest have failed to remove them from the registry. We have a certificate to confirm everything was paid off. Our solicitor (and us) have tried, since June, to speak to someone at Natwest to request this but noone seems able to help. Is there anyway to get round this please?

The house/land is not registered btw

Hi Karen - sadly not as you need NatWest to discharge their legal charges. I would recommend that you escalate within NatWest and through their social media for example if you have not done so already
