title deed update

Hi,

We purchased a land with the title number HD515822 a while ago, but the Land Registry still shows the previous company as the owner. Could you please confirm if the title update is in process and let us know how soon it will be updated to reflect our company, Nextera Energy Ltd, as the owner?

Hi Reza - the application was submitted in September but it's still waiting to be processed. That may not be for a while yet.
The purchase/ownership is protected so please bear with us and wait for your conveyancer to notify you once completed

Thank you for your quick response as always. We have a UKPN electricity cable on the land that we want it to be rerouted but they will not proceed until title deed is under our name. Is there anyway we could have this expedited?

Hi Adam,

This matter has now been requested to be expedited. Unfortunately, we need UKPN to proceed with granting an easement, without which the agreement cannot move forward — so the title deed has become a matter of urgency.

Could you please confirm whether the title deed is currently registered under Nextera Energy Ltd? If not could you please help us to have it registered ASAP?

Hi Reza - the application was expedited and has already been partially processed.
At present we are waiting for the conveyancer to provide additional information as per our letter to them dated 17th March
I'm sure if you contact them they can confirm and advise when they hope to be able to respond in full
