I have received an interim charging order against a solely owned property.

I have submitted an AGREED NOTICE AN1 together with fee of £40.00.

Three questions please:

1) How many working days does an AN1 take to process?
2) Will Land Registry notify me when the ICO has been added?
3) If they do notify me, will it be via post or email?

Thanks,

PC

Peter 1) it doesn't take any real length of time but you should expect to 'wait' 4 months on average before it's processed
2) As the applicant you would receive confirmation once completed and registered
3) Notified by post

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the quick reply.

A follow up if I may.

1) How does the 4 months work when I have to notify the other party within 21 days that I have an interim charging order?
2) Do I have to repeat the process if and/or when the charging order becomes final?

Thanks,

PC

Hi Peter - the charging (court order) and court process etc isn't linked to the registration requirements.
With charging orders many are issued and not then protected on the land register so the link does not exist in practice
You simply notify them you have a charging order. Whether it's on the register or not has no impact on that requirement
As for when you get a final charging order whether you then apply to protect that on the register is entirely up to you. It's the same protected interest so in my experience the vast majority of creditors don;t and of course it's another fee.

Hi Adam,

Many thanks for the clear reply.

And of course there is another fee!

Thanks,
