Hi Patrick - Each application is processed on its own merits and based on the evidence presented to us.&#160; So any prior cases for removal of middle name may not be the right indicator for your mother's case.&#160;<br> <br> It would also be helpful to explain that any application to amend your mother's name on the register would need to be supported by relevant documentary evidence.&#160; The application would have to be submitted by the individual who's name is being changed or their legal representative.&#160; Assuming the application was satisfactory, we would then have to make appropriate checks which could involve the application being stood over for around 15 working days.&#160;<br> <br> I would suggest you discuss this with your legal advisor.&#160;&#160; &#160;&#160;
