Hello, I finished my mortgage recently and was told they would applpy to remove their charge from the property.  I have alerts setup on the property and now have a alert to say that an application has been lodged against title number BM275535 (my title I assume).

However, I am a little confused on the process / timelines.  When this charge is removed from the property, will I be notified again? Or how will I know exactly?

Once it is removed, I understand that I should request a copy of the title (or whatever document - can someone please clarify which document I should request) to show it doesn't have the mortgage charge on it, but I can't do that until I know it's been removed.

Hello - most lenders notify you when the mortgage has been redeemed/paid off and then, usually within 2-3 weeks, they apply to us to remove the mortgage (legal charge) from the register
In this case the lender did that on 12th September and the register has been updated accordingly. No notification is issued to you as the registered owner.
The registered information is held by us electronically so there is nothing for you to physically hold to prove ownership and/or no mortgage in place - see our blog article for guidance
The article also explains how if you want to you can download the registered information online or apply by pst at any time

Thank you for the info, very helpful.  So are you saying the charge has been removed already? So I should be good to request a copy of the title now?

That's correct
