Would a change in internal layout of a flat need to be registered

Hello, 

My flat had an L shaped open plan kitchen living room, I have moved the kitchen into the living room, and partitioned off the old kitchen area to create a second bedroom. 

Would this change in internal layout need to be registered with the Land Registry?

Hello Diana - I doubt it. It would only be if the actual extent of the 'demise' (defined in the lease itself) was changing for example your flat was bigger or smaller.
Internal changes don't impact on the registered extent/demise so nothing to update on the land register as the original terms of the lease remain in place
