Good morning. I’d be grateful for your advice please on the following request before I submit. We wish to amalgamate 2 existing properties in the same building into one on the HM Land Registry title record and would be grateful for your advice, please. I understand an AP1 with evidence will be required and believe the fee is £40 – first question, is this correct, please?

Amplifying information:

Building is an old stable block and hay loft converted into ground and first floor flats around 1930.

No 3 is the Freehold for both Nos 3 and 2, No 2 is leasehold.

There is no mortgage or 3rd party interest in either address; my wife and I are the owners.

The District Council, now amalgamated with the County Council, deleted No 3 from its address register for Council Tax purposes, when the two flats were combined (evidence will be attached to AP1).

As I say, grateful for your advice, please.

Good Morning Andrew - your own answer to your first Q is correct
There isn't a second Q as far as I can tell but when applying you should include the details you have stated
The key Q remains however as to why you want to request amalgamation now? If you have a wider reason then please include that
The casework team will be the ones to consider the request, not me
Hope that helps

Many thanks, Adam. The answer is simply that we wish to make the single property (which the Council has already allowed) into a single, mortgageable property, which it isn't at the moment being 2 separate titles on the record. I'm much obliged for your swift response. Andy
