I am in the process of buying a property. There is a difference between the title plan and the visual inspection of the property. The difference is that a portion of the roof/loft of the property overhangs the neighbouring property. The properties are part of a terraced street of houses, but this appears to be the only one where this overhang arrangement exists.

the title plan basically shows a straight boundary line from the roof line down to street level. But as you can see from the attached photo, this is not the case.

Despite the fact that this is clearly visible on the Estates Agent’s particulars for the property (as well as in person) the seller and their solicitors simply respond that this is not the case.

My question is, if the seller refuses to accept this (and therefore take any action to rectify it) is there anything I can do as the purchaser?  Other than walk away, that is.
