lost deeds

My conveyancing solicitor has lost my Deeds for Property 20 Guineaport Parc Wadebridge Cornwall PL27 7BY.<br> I have POA for my mum who was admitted to a Care Home on June 17th 2025. I have a buyer for the house and a conveyance Solicitor in place since July/August 2025.&#160; They had to register the property first time as my mum has lived there since 1986.&#160; They have a letter to say they have the deeds in their Archive but have lost them!! My mum has a Deferral with Cornwall County Council which is approved in principle but the council need a Title Number to closethe paperwork.&#160; The purchaser of the property has requested the contract and through solicitor neglect it was yeaterday not three months ago that they applied for a Title through lost Deeds!!&#160; Can you help as we may lose the sale

David - really sorry to read of the issues you are facing but we don't have an application as yet to register that property for the first time. So no provisional title number to show and nothing to expedite<br> You'll need to chase the solicitor who is applying to register the property for the first time to query
