We are close to a supposed completion date on Friday 1st December 2023. However, we can’t exchange contracts until the title deeds of the house we’re purchasing have a restriction taken off regarding inheritors’ ownership. The completion of the house we’re selling and the one we’re buying is waiting just for this.
The seller’s conveyancer applied for this on 14th November and expedited it. We got told on 20th November that the land registry has acknowledged the change and agreed to expedite it. Will the 10 working days approximate timeline start from 14th November or 20th? And is it still a 10 working day timeline?
We’re anxious to get this sorted as it’s been 6 months in the works with only three parties in a chain, and like I say we’re supposed to completing next Friday but our solicitors won’t exchange contracts until this is sorted.
