Hello. I recently purchased a property and the neighbour next door has right of access through the garden. The current access is anywhere through my garden via a small gate. I am planning on renting this property and I would much rather build a pathway on my own expense for the neighbours to use, instead of roaming free around the garden. The neighbours are happy with this idea. My question is, can I amend the title plan and how can I do this? The pathway will be from my land and the exit gate will be to a side street.
Thank you

Hello Raluca - if you want to vary the rights (easements) so that the old one is changed to a new one, you will need to enter into a legal deed with the benefitting landowner(s) as appropriate. If you/they have a mortgage then the mortgage lender(s) usually have to be involved/consent and conveyancers involved.
I would strongly recommend seeking legal advice to create the legal deed needed to make the changes and to assist as appropriate
