We paid off our mortgage in September. On 21 Oct our lender filed the application to remove the charge from the title DN335136 (lender does not use the electronic service).  We are trying to complete a new mortgage and our new lender cannot (will not) complete until the old charge is removed. We have requested that the application be expedited, are there any updates on likely timing for the register to be updated to remove the charge?

Rachel - application partially processed on 3rd Nov and wider checks underway with lender to confirm removal of their legal charge. Those checks will expire shortly after 24th November unless they respond sooner and positively<br> DN335136

Hi Rachel - we have received a response and that goes back to the casework team to review to decide if sufficient&#160;<br> The wider checks require very specific responses and will check with the casework team for an update as appropriate<br> DN335136

Thanks.&#160; I believe from speaking with the lender that they did not receive whatever communication was sent to them by the Land Registry on 3/11.&#160; They have since been dealing with your notice response team to provide whatever confirmations are required.
