Correction of address on title deeds

I have a deadline of the 31st July and we’re waiting for a correction of the address on the title deeds. The sellers solicitor has expedited the request but that was 2 weeks ago. How much longer will it take?

Nicola - that all depends if it's an actual correction or a request to update the register or something else. Corrections can take longer than an update as an error has been alleged and has to be investigated. The seller's solicitor can track progress online and confirm what's happening re title number and case reference. Do you have those?

Thanks for your reply. I do have the case number and title number: Case no:-F894XMV Title no:- WK322318 It was expedited on the 6th July

Nicola - The application under the reference F894XMV associated with the title no. WK322318 was expedited and completed on 8 July itself. It was not an application for correction. There is nothing currently pending on the title.

Thanks for your reply. My agent called up and evidently the sellers solicitor gave the wrong reference number to be expedited!! It should be:- P894XMV with title number WK322318. I am having to break the chain and move in with my sons so would really appreciate a swift resolve to this even though Land Registry has said they will expedite it as of yesterday. My buyer has given me a few more days but next Friday 7th is the max deadline. Please help
