Hi,
We are currently waiting on the sellers of the property we are purchasing to dissolve a trust on the property.
The probate legal team working for the seller, who are handling the trust dissolution are refusing to give any sort of timeframe as to when this will be completed. All we know is that the forms were completed and signed nearly two weeks ago. We can only assume that the forms have now been passed to HMRC, however, we would like to know the progress status, as we are meant to complete on the sale on March 28th 2025, however, this now looks highly unlikely.
The property is not registered on land registry (purchased in 1982 by the sellers, but seemingly never registered).
How can we go about finding out if HMRC have received the paperwork, and if it is being processed?
Regards,
Laura

Hi Laura - we wouldn't know whether you can obtain such information from HMRC but you'd need to contact them to check/confirm
