I am the registered proprietor of title number NT71099. I am preparing to sell the property and am trying to obtain the historic documentation relating to the transfer of the property to me in 2002. The Proprietorship Register records me as proprietor on 8 October 2002 and refers to "The Transfer to the proprietor". It also contains two restrictions entered on 8 October 2002: The restriction at entry 3 of the Proprietorship Register, requiring the consent of the person named in that entry before a disposition can be registered. A restriction stating that no disposition by a sole proprietor under which capital money arises is to be registered except under an order of the registrar or Court. Before submitting Form OC2, could HM Land Registry please confirm whether you hold copies of: The Transfer/TR1 or Deed of Gift to me registered on 8 October 2002; Any Declaration of Trust, Deed of Gift or other document lodged in connection with that transfer; Any document/application supporting the restriction at entry 3 of the Proprietorship Register; and Any document/application supporting the second restriction concerning a sole proprietor and capital money. If these documents are held, could you please tell me exactly how I should describe each document on Form OC2 so that I can order the correct documents without duplicating anything? I already have copies of the current Title Register and Title Plan. Many thanks for your assistance.

John - we don't offer a service that checks first to confirm what we have on file. You should apply for a copy as appropriate and if we don't have one we would cancel your application, refund the fee and explain that we don't have a copy. You can add the items you think we have copies of to the form OC2 to cover the bases and the paper files will be retrieved from storage, scanned and appropriate copies issued as appropriate.
