Hi - our solicitor found mention of a historic rentcharge in a conveyance from 1955 but there is no mention of a rentcharge in the title register. They will not proceed with the transaction until the land registry confirm if this is an error (and therefore provide details) or whether the rentcharge mentioned no longer exists. Our chain is about to collapse unless this is resolved this week. I understand both ours and the sellers solicitors have contacted the land registry, however we have yet to receive a response. Hi Kerrie - your information is correct and the issue/request to amend the title has been escalated already. THey have received a partial reply but the paper records need to be checked to offer a full respoinse.&#160;<br> The support team are aware of the urgency and will respond as soon as they can though the enquiry channel used by the solicitors involved.
