In 2019 I bought a shared ownership property and in 2022 I purchased the remaining share.

I’m in the process of selling the property however the buyers conveyancer has flagged that there’s a restriction that relates to the shared ownership.

My conveyancer has said it should have been removed but my previous legal team didn’t do it for some reason.

It looks like it can be exempted from the selling process by the buyers conveyancer, however on the chance it’s not, what sort of timescales updates to the title likely to take? 

We’re meant to be exchanging next week.

Matt - wait times/timescales are lengthy at present. If they are applying to update the register then they need to request expedition - Request an expedite - GOV.UK
