Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and title

If a tenancy is renewed/extended under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, what does the Land registry need to be told? Does the register need to be updated?

Thanks Adam. I have looked at PG 28, but I can't work out which of the many options apply, and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 is not mentioned. I would be most grateful if you could highlight for me which parts of PG 28 apply.

Graham - The 1954 Act doesn't change the approach as it's the extension of a lease you are applying to register. We can't provide any more guidance than linking you to the PG 28 and if you remain unsure then please do seek legal advice
