In the title register for property I owe it states
"RESTRICTION: No disposition of the registered estate by the proprietor of the registered estate is to be registered without a written consent signed by the proprietor for the time being of the Charge dated 12 October 2007 in favour of Clydesdale Bank PLC referred to in the Charges Register."
I paid off my mortgage more than 10 years ago. I do not have the deeds. 1. Does this suggest that clydesdale have not informed land registry that mortgage has been paid off? 2. If so, what can i do as clydesdale have no record of mortgage on their files anymore? 3. They did not send me the deeds, does that matter if i want to sell the house.
thank you.

Hi Mehdi,
Without a title number i cannot look at the register to see if there is a charge entry in the charges (C) register. it sounds like there will; be if so:
From a registration perspective if it's a legal charge then we need a form DS1 executed by the creditor/lender as appropriate. And if that is someone other than the one on the register we also need proof of their legal authority to discharge the registered charge.
You will need to continue to follow the trail so to speak to identify who can legally discharge the charge and provide you with the required form and supporting evidence.
