The property descriptions on the Land Registry of my two leasehold flats are different from those of the other leasehold flats contained in the building, and are different from the original Leases and property addresses therein indicated. ie: the other flats are indicated as First floor Flat, Ground Floor Flat etc. whereas my two flats are indicated as "Part of ...(the address of the building". I am worried this could be a problem should I wish to sell the properties and presume it would be better to have all documents matching. Can you advise if there could be issues in this sense and if I should apply to change the property descriptions on the Land Registry, or whether I should instruct a conveyancing solicitor to do so? Many thanks

Nikela - impossible to tell whether it would be a problem or not as that all depends on the conveyancers, buyers, lenders involved and what they saw or found to be a problem. Most 'problems' arise because a process fails to recognise key information and a mismatch is identified - bit like 'computer says No' scenario If you want to query it use our contact us form to submit the specific details re title number(s) and address confirmed by council and the support team can check and amend if appropriate to do so - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/contact-hm-land-registry#contact-form

Hi totally understand! I will contact the council to see what addresses they have registered and then submit a query. Many thanks!
