Release of covenant

Hi, can someone please let me know what the difference between ‘expressed to be released’ and ‘released’ is when referring to a restrictive covenant on a title?

Hi Tim - 'expressed' is used when the release is not guaranteed. For example the application did not demonstrate that all of the benefiting landowners released the covenant(s)
