From a probate matter, we have an old AS1 relating to a leasehold title from April 2019 where a matter went into abeyance due to non responsiveness of the freeholder who has to approve compliance restrictions and our client withdrew instructions. The matter has come back live with client instruction and I wanted to check if we can still use this document?

Amit - whilst 'age' does matter it's not a definite barrier to a deed being unusable. If your are gong to rely on it then on submission you need to provide written confirmation as to why a deed of an 'old age' is being relied upon and the reasons for the delay in registration
The key, as with any transaction deed, is that it's been completed correctly and nothing has changed in the interim re the registered title/ownership for example
