How to check if our solicitor has done anything

After inheriting a house as part of my fathers estate, my sister and I agreed to transfer my half of it into her name.
We instructed a solicitor, to handle the assent (I think it's called) around early August, and have tried getting an update for the last few weeks with no response.
Finally, the solicitors secretary has confirmed, after me ringing daily, that nothing has been done and I have now sacked them in writing.
How can I contact Land Registry to be 100% confident they haven't actually done anything as there are no phone numbers on the website?
