How do i take my name off land rejestry as ive not been living at my property for over 6 plus years as it got repossed but lost proof . And council tax want to still send me a bill for the address

Deborah - if the property was repossessed the lender will have sold it and the buyer should have updated the register re their purchase. If that hasn't happened I assume the repossession process did not complete and you'd need to contact the lender direct to resolve. What's the property address/title number please and I can check?

My parents sold their house to a Equity company a few years ago. My mum has now gone into a care home and the equity company are requesting we get a solicitor to get her released from the long term lease. Myself and my sister have Lasting power of Attorney for my mum. My question is can we sign the release forms for her without getting a solicitor involved?

Sandra - not something we can advise you on and you'll need legal advice with regards what you can or can't do in such a scenario

I bought a parcel of land from a developer. It was a scam and the Financial Conduct Authority took them to court and they were liquidated and I received some compensation from the proceeds of the distribution. My name is still on the deeds for the property. How do I get them removed?

Hugh - I would suggest using our contact form the submit the specifics. There's no general response to such an enquiry https://www.gov.uk/guidance/public-guidance-dealing-with-land-and-property#contact-form
