Certificate of Compliance

Managing Agents are asking £1,500.00 to issue a Certificate of Compliance for a straightforward transfer with no mortgage. Can we challenge the M/A as the fees are way too high? Have you ever come across anything like this? thank you.

Renata - whilst we are aware that managing agents often charge a fee for their services/certificates of compliance we have no role in that specific process. If you wish to challenge the fee charged I imagine that would be direct with the MA themselves but you may wish to seek legal advice before doing so. And or speak to neighbours who may have also dealt with the MA and it's fees previously
