Hi, How long does it usually take for Ordnance Survey to report back following a site survey request from Land Registry. The Ordnance Survey visit was undertaken yesterday. We are in the process of selling our house but there was an issue with a transfer of a small piece of land which is now holding up the sale. The transfer was expedited but put on hold pending the Ordnance Survey report/visit. Thank you

Hi Matthew - generally speaking OS visit within 2 weeks of a request being made/received. Once they have completed the survey the report is usually submitted to us within a week

Thank you Adam for your prompt response. I have noticed today that the "Site Survey Request" posted on the Application Enquiry .under the relevant transfer has been removed today. Does that mean the the OS report has been received or purely that the inspection has been carried out? Thank you

Matthew - I would suggest that means it's been received. You said you were selling so presumably you arranged the site visit so should know if OS have been and the timing as a result?

Yes Ordnance Survey did visit the property but it was unaccompanied. When we asked re timings when the appointment was arranged the surveyor said he could not give an indication of when his report would be sent to Land Registry. Is there any means of checking to see if the Ordnance Survey report is now with Land Registry?

Matthew - many thanks. Survey report submitted today. That then goes to the casework team to consider and to refer to a senior officer/lawyer as appropriate to confirm next steps
