We purchased a share of freehold ground floor flat in January 2021. Three years on we are still waiting for completion of registration of lease following the purchase. Have been chasing up our solicitors for close to 3 years now but they are saying covid related backlog and shortage of staff are delaying the whole process and they cannot help. Because of this we are not able to re mortgage or sell our property. If we check the details of our property online its still showing the last purchased details and price as from 2013 which was when the previous owners purchased it. This is causing us a lot of stress with the indefinite delay. I have raised a grievance/complaint with Land Registry today. Do we have any options to expediate this request considering how long this has been pending for. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks
