Erroneous advice from HMLR

I have received an email from HMLR saying <blockquote> <p>The document attached is an official requisition, reminder or letter from HM Land Registry. It is not a circular and relates either to an application you have lodged with us or a property in which you have an interest. No paper copy of the item of correspondence will be sent to you.<br> <br> The document is in 'Portable Document Format' (PDF) which replicates the appearance of the hard copy version. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the document. Please note that as the document is in PDF format you cannot add text to any document that you need to complete and return to HM Land Registry. You will have to return any such completed document by post.</p> </blockquote> <p>The passage&#160;</p><p>"you cannot add any text"</p><p>is wrong. There are many pdf tools to overwrite pdfs which I have used in a number of legal applications</p>

The editing of posts here also needs improvement!!

Andrew - the formatting is not great at times re the forum posts and I understand that's linked to the software/device being used by the poster and the system we use to maintain the forum and contact channels
With regards the pdf issue you raise can you confirm that the erroneous information you refer to is contained within the text of the email you receive please
And can you share a copy of the image via our Contact form please and I can then refer it to those responsible for the emails issued in this way
