Help! Background: I have a court order in place for divorce, financial remedy order which includes transfer of properties both ways; Some from our joint names to my x husband soke name/ some from him to me.
I decided/need (due to costs) to do the transfers myself, for the ones I am receiving, but my ex is using a legal conveyancing company.
I dropped the completed TR1 forms in to the conveyancing firm for signing the deed of transfer, and they have come back to me saying they refuse to deal with me/these, AND my husband's transfers the other way unless I get legal representation!
This surely is not right??!! It may be their prerogative to do this, but my ex is furious and demanding I get legal representation - it is my right to do this myself!? What should I quote to my ex/his conveyancer re my rights?

Diane - we can't answer that Q or advise you as to your rights other than to explain that you don't have to use a conveyancer if you don't wish to from a registration perspective
I would suggest going back to the conveyancer to ask them to explain why you are required to have legal representation.
