ive had an email from my solicitor to say that the site visit is for the original application from the neighbour at number 52 which he told me he had withdrawn. Originally the Land Registry told us his application was not correct and would have been rejected anyway. 
can you possibly clarify which application this is for

Hello,
I have just spoken to Land Registry and was told the first application has not been withdrawn and so i spoke to the applicant and he had confusing information from my solicitor and hadn't withdrawn it.  He wants to withdraw this so then my application can be looked at as we both want the same thing and mine was done by a solicitor so should be clearer.
is this the fastest way to proceed?

K V - it's his/your/the conveyancer's choice whether to withdraw an application or not. What's most expedient will depend on what each of you want/need to be able to proceed.
If an application is to be withdrawn then we need that in writing from the applicant and they can request cancellation using our online contact form
This forum is also HMLR so I'm unsure as to why you would ring also but do appreciate you are trying to resolve matters as swiftly as possible. I would suggest speaking to the owner and conveyancer involved re both applications and agreeing the best way forward as appropriate

Myself/conveyancer/first applicant, are all asking for the same thing, there are no objections.

wonder if you can help update on when the OS visit will be as we have all completed the LR forms and desperately waiting as the sale chain is very fragile and I can’t lose this sale.

Hi K V - we won't have a specific date for their visit so best to check with the owners/conveyancer to see if they have been advised by OS.
We are reliant on OS to complete the survey and then provide the report

Just wonder if you have received the OS report. I won’t know if they have visited as I have allowed them access without me being there as the property is empty and the neighbors is too.

I have been informed that the OS visited yesterday and they have sent the Land Registry the report.  Could you possibly advise of what happens next and timescales please.

K V - the report now needs to be considered as part of a further review of the application. Next steps and timescales should become clearer once that has happened. Too soon to try and be definitive

Hi K V - nothing as yet, sorry. Let's see if I can find out a bit more to help

K V - even though the survey report is in we have to wait for OS to also update the mapping details online. That's now happened and the case will be reviewed on that basis and next steps hopefully agreed in the coming days. 
I can't be any more definitive than that but it is being processed as quickly as we can although I do appreciate that may not always be apparent
