Hi. How can i find a historical mortgage company on the title deeds please?

Hi Michelle - you can search the register online for a fee - Search for land and property information - GOV.UK
I suspect you may mean something else though

Hi. Thanks for your reply. It is an old mortgage company I am searching for that we took out on the house years ago. We need to reference number of that company (they are no longer trading) to prove we were paying the mortgage. I think they would have had an 'interest' in the property at that time. This dates back to 2006.

Michelle - the register would confirm any registered interest. If you are searching for 'more' details then use our contact form to raise the enquiry. The support team can then check our records and respond as appropriate - that can mean a reply to explain how to apply for copies as appropriate

Thank you. I have done this and have had an email back saying to fill in an HC1 form. Is this the form to use to get the information we need please? Do we need to print it off and post it to you with a fee?

Michelle - I suspect you received the generic response to an enquiry referring to historical information. Please reply to that response with the specific details and issue you are trying to resolve
Form HC1 is for an historical edition of the register. You want to check if the copy charge we have on record includes additional info that may help you did deeper
