Hello
I just paid £6 for the land registry deed and a property plan but the title deed is 30 years out of date
I need the up to date title with history of changes
I attached the copy I received

Hello Paul - you've downloaded a copy of a rentcharge title LA149168 so it's not out of date as you suggest.
Were you perhaps looking for the specific ownership of one of the properties covered by the rentcharge? If so which address?

Yes the ownership of property . The four people listed on the rentcharge are all deceased and I knew them all&#160;<br> so it must be out of date as I purchased a portion of the property circa 1990&#160; address 47b

Paul - your title is GM145174. The rentcharge title remains as is until someone applies to update it as appropriate. Until they do, and if the named owners are deceased, it forms part of their 'estates' as appropriate

Paul - if you need official copies then you'd need to apply by post using form OC1

I'll send off for that but I see that if I want detailed information about the history of transfer and name changes over the
years I need to apply for that separately using different forms correct?

Paul - correct so what are you actually trying to establish/check?
Posted Wed, 20 Dec 2023 14:35:10 GMT by paul hamilton
I want detailed information about the history of transfer and name changes over the
years basically the names and dates
Posted Wed, 20 Dec 2023 15:45:29 GMT by Adam Hookway
Paul - ok
So you have the current register which details the current legal ownership
The Transfer that caused that update is dated 21st March 2016
The edition of the register prior to that Transfer was dated 19th Oct 2015 and that Transfer was dated 16th Oct 2015
The prior edition to that was dated 30th March 2015 when the register was updated following the death of one of the joint owners
And the previous editions to that were dated 27th April 2004 and 1st Aug 1996 - the paper records would need to be checked to confirm what additional information we held re those editions/updates

So form HC1 by post for register editions mentioned
Form OC2 by post for copies of the dated Transfers mentioned
And if you want the 'paper' information then please use our contact form to explain what you are after and the support team can call for the paper files and respond as appropriate so you can then apply by post for copies
