How long to process lease extension

Hi, we completed a lease extension at the end of July 2023 and I wondered what category this comes under so I can understand the current expected processing time frame for Land Registry to process.

Hi Mark - it would be a new lease (surrender & regrant) so you should expect to wait on average 14+ months 
Wait time rarely matters for most owners as their ownership is protected throughout. But if there's an urgency such as an onward sale/remortgage then you can request expedition as appropriate
