Hi I'm trying to find out if a copy of the original death certificate issued in Spain can be used as proof of death when selling a property under probate so the title deed can be transferred at the land registry, our solicitor is being very insistent that the Coroner who holds this original certificate should provide the original to her is this correct or will a copy of the original be sufficient

Philip - an official copy of the foreign death certificate must be lodged together with a certified translation if necessary
I assume the death certificate is for one of the joint owners and probate issued for the other as you refer to a probate sale
