Hi, hoping someone can help please.

Can a Parish Council distribute title/plan/TR1/TP1/Deeds/charge documents to residents (these are documents purchased through the Business Portal in order to assist in debating planning/land issues), by various means such as display on parish website, email and notice boards without breaking HM Land Registry licencing?

If not, can the same documents be supplied to a resident under a Freedom of Information request?

If so, are there any restrictions on what or how the documents are supplied, for example if any redactions are required?

Thank you.

Hi Sheldon - providing you are not 'selling' the information or publishing for a fee etc then such information can generally be shared
The registered information is open to all so does not fall within the FOI with regards requesting it from us
See our online guidance re 'copyright' for guidance - Publication scheme - HM Land Registry - GOV.UK

Thank you for your reply.

Just to be clear, all your documents that say, along the lines of: © Crown Copyright, Produced by Land Registry. Reproduction in whole or in part is prohibited without the prior written permission of Ordnance Survey. Licence Number..." would be covered by what you said and effectively the OGL?

Thank you.
