Lost original lease

We are dealing with an application where an amendment is required to the original lease to satisfy a Land Registry requisition due to an error in the wording in the lease definitions. Unfortunately the original lease cannot be located and so wondered whether it might be legitimate to print the signed and dated copy we have, certify this as the original (we can confirm this is a true copy of the original) and then amend and initial as required and then re-submit as part of the requisition?
