I'm writing on behalf of a group of residents who bought the freehold for their flats. The leases will be extended to 999 years. We are waiting for this figure to appear in the title registers. Can we buy copies of the new leases from the Land Registry right away or do we have to wait for the title registers to be updated? Once they are updated & show as having 999 year leases can we buy copies of our new leases? Thanks for any assistance.

You are able to request copies of documents within pending applications or you can wait until it is registered and order it then. Practice Guide 11 will cover this. You will need to use form OC2.

Thanks for your reply. How do I check if the document is within pending applications? Is there a list one can check? Thank you.

Complete form OC2 providing as much information as you can will elp us identify what you are looking for, there is not a list of pending documents available. If you are using a conveyancer who has access to the business service portal they are able to see which documents are available, however they only appear here once registration has completed.
