Dear Sir

Title Number:HD113292

The above property, which is currently registered in the names of a husband and wife as joint proprietors. The husband has sadly passed away, and the wife now wishes to remove his name from the title register.

We understand that the lender has no objection to the removal of the deceased's name. The title is subject to a Form A restriction.

Could you please confirm whether it is sufficient to submit the following documents for this purpose:

Form DJP

Copy of the death certificate

Alternatively, is it necessary to obtain and provide a Grant of Probate to complete this process

Additionally, could you advise whether any further forms or documentation are required to effect the change in the register

Your guidance on the correct procedure would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for your assistance in this matter

Dear Umesh - form DJP and copy death certificate are sufficient to update the register re the death.
If the form A restriction is to be cancelled as the wife is now the sole legal and beneficial owner, the n please see PG 6 section 8 for guidance - Devolution on the death of a registered proprietor (PG6) - GOV.UK
