I am looking to get my name removed from the deeds of a house I own with an ex. There is no morgage on the property and I am not asking for any money for my share of the property. He is refusing to sign anything as he identifies as a sovereign citizen and says our verbal agreement that I don't own the property anymore is enough. Is there any way to remove myself without having to go through court proceedings? Can I fill out the required documentation without him needing to sign anything?

Susie - the property needs to be transferred and that's either by the two of you or as you state relying on a court order and/or the judge then executing the transfer if your ex won;t comply with the order
